SCHOOL CHRISTMAS ART COMPETITION 2012
INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
Hospice Southland needs artwork for the cover of the 2013 Christmas Cards. These cards are sent to supporters of Hospice Southland and are sold through the Hospice Southland newsletter and Hospice Shops as a fundraiser. We look to our young Southland artists for the true meaning of Christmas.
Hospice Southland in association with H&J Smith is asking schools to participate by allowing students to design the front cover of the Hospice Southland Christmas Card for the following year - this may be a fun art class session or students could complete as a school holiday fun activity.
There are vouchers from H&J Smith up for grabs for winner and two runners up in each of the four age groups. Every student who participates will receive a participation certificate. Judges will pick a winner from each of the four age groups that will subsequently be on to be the cover of the Hospice Southland Christmas Cards for the following year.
* ENTRIES CLOSE - Friday 2 November 2012
* Artwork size is A3 (297mm x 420mm) - please do not exceed the entry size.
* The 2012 theme is "My Christmas morning"
* Materials (paint, felt pen, crayon etc.) are of the student's choice but must be in 2D form/medium.
* Only one piece of artwork per student please.
* Age Groups: Year 1 and 2, Year 3 and 4, Year 5 and 6, and Year 7 and 8.
* All entries become the property of Hospice Southland.
There is no cost to enter. Students need only fill out an official entry form and have it signed by a teacher or guardian to certify it is their original artwork and they are happy for it to be used by Hospice Southland should they win. Schools will be notified of the results by Thursday 8 November 2012.
